I hold a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, and am fully endorsed as a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
It was after receiving extraordinary treatment results myself that I made the decision to become a Chinese Medicine Practitioner. I knew immediately that I needed to learn more about this incredible traditional practice and it was then my love and understanding for the power of natural healing began.
Beginning my studies in Australia at the Endeavour College of Natural Health in 2014, I qualified as an acupuncturist in the UK after immigrating to settle with my partner in her native homeland.
My approach to life is with a sense of adventure and excitement. I am a kind, gentle and compassionate practitioner who approaches and treats each person as an individual with their own story to tell, meeting both their emotional and physical needs during their healing process.
I am committed to helping each of my clients in their journey to optimal health while supporting them in balancing a demanding modern lifestyle. Our calming clinic setting provides a space where people can feel comfortable and safe, taking time away from daily demands, while I work on providing some direction for the body to rebalance and carry out its own natural healing ability.
My keen interests are in both men’s and women’s health, though I have experience in treating a wide variety conditions including chronic pain, digestive concerns, insomnia, anxiety, headaches and muscular skeletal issues.
The ethos and values behind Love Community Acupuncture truly resonate with me. Enabling more people to have access to traditional, holistic and effective treatments with a community focus, combined with an understanding of the realistic economic environment we are living in, is a wonderful venture and one that I share a passion for.
I am proud to be a part of LCA, the only clinic in York offering a sliding scale fee structure for acupuncture. Together we are providing more people within the community the choice of acupuncture as an affordable option for treating their health concerns as opposed to more western based options. Essentially, making acupuncture a more accessible treatment for everyone is something that is definitely worth celebrating!
In my spare time, I enjoy expanding my eastern philosophy knowledge via reading and further educational training. As a self-confessed waterman, I enjoy swimming, bodyboarding and surfing, whilst also spending time with family and friends in areas of outstanding natural beauty, of which there are many in Yorkshire.
